In December, 2018 I was invited by an old friend to visit Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba. A little research before the trip showed that, in the winter, the lake became home to hundreds of ice fishing huts, so I planned to photograph them while I was there. The huts far exceeded my expectations - there were dozens of them within a half hour drive of the cabin and many of them were decorated in the most unique, characterful and quirky ways. Over the week I visited I had a huge amount of fun photographing as many as I could and got enough images that I liked that I put together this small series.
